Nose: fresh, lemony, vanilla, cereals, very pleasant
Mouth: very strong, sweet and sour, citrus, some oak and a lot of alcohol. Finish: vanilla, some fruit, slightly tart and still very hot from the alcohol.

"Very contemporary and a heavy flavour. Big full full flavour for what is generally regarded to be a light whisky."

    • Nose
Crisp and Clean but with a Young feel to it. The Alcohol is quite present so you need to find your way around it. On the Nose, the Valinch is mostly Sweet with Fruit, Oak, and Herbs.Malted Barley, Toffee, Vanilla, Brown Sugar, lightly Burnt Toast, Grass, Straw, Apple, Grapefruit, Mandarin, Lemon, Grapes, Raspberry and Banana.
    • Taste
Young, Bitter Sweet, Fruity and Spicy. The Alcohol is quite noticeable.Butterscotch, Malted Barley, Grapefruit, Apple, White Grapes and Vanilla.
    • Finish
Not very long, Spicy. The Alcohol is very strong and it gets dry in the end.

At first I smell citrus, peach, salmiak, cedar wood. Very fruity. Later, vanilla is added. In the taste again that wood, vanilla. Creamy and full taste with a long aftertaste.

Overripe fruits, vanilla. Rather closed at first, it gradually opens to malty notes. There is also a heady note that bothers me. With a little water, we have warm notes of bread. In the mouth, and in the finish, we find the fruits too ripe. It is an aggressive chouia and with a little water, too bright!

    Enthusiasm 2/5

Tasted this year after two years of aeration: sweet nose, cinnamon, yellow fruit, slightly exotic. Mouth quite creamy, but short, Cinnamon, yellow fruits, pineapple, passion fruit Finale a little vegetable, more bitter, withdrawn from the rest unfortunately, we feel a certain youth.
    Good product overall. 84

Beautiful whisky for a very good price. Very dangerous, as this is one of the most drinkable and easily-approachable cask strength bottlings you can buy. It'd be even "better" with an age statement. For not disclosing its age I'll subtract one point from my rating.
    • Nose
Without water: Pungent, sweet, fruity, no, VERY fruity. Passionfruit, papaya, peaches and freshly cut apples. A hint of banana with caramel syrup drizzled over it. Very nice, but probably even more exuberant....
...with water: Yes, here we go. The same notes as before, but even more fruity and sweet. Fruit salad with creamy vanilla yoghurt. This is clearly dangerous stuff!
    • Taste
Without water: Very drinkable, the alcohol doesn't feel too much. Sweet creamy honeydew melon, strawberries, peaches, apples, passionfruit. Creamy and crisp at the same time.
With water: The mouthfeel is getting better, creamier and bigger. Coats your mouth with a fruity sensation. Further back on the tongue you can feel a bit of oak with vanilla and a small drop of olive oil. Very, very nice.
    • Finish
Medium long, refreshing, fruity and with just a bit of wood spice.

What a difference after adding water! Again not too much add because then he becomes "boring". Still, the distillery had been able to save 3x distillation because it really does not add anything ....
    • Nose
A bit of water has now been added to this nosing and tasting. Vanilla and wood. Fresh but something "flatter" than without the addition of water. A little "wet dog". Not special.
    • Taste
Much more pleasant than without the addition of water! Friendly and yet powerful. Green fruit like apples and pears but also chocolate.
    • Finish
Sweet and unlike no water, no trace of bitterness anymore. Finish is short.
