    Lorion's first convalmore and it's a 74. :(

Off to a bad start. Hope he gets to try more though.

    76? 84? What?
Yes... Its too expensive too buy a bottle.
But this is good. Very sweet and full of citrus and sugar. Nice and very full in the mouth. Thick. Like syrup. 90-91 for me.

  4. Horror_Vacui scored this whisky 86 points Expert Senior

    Nose:
Dried Lemon Zest, Pineapple. Strong smell of wood (carpentry). Spicy clove, allspice, cracked pepper.

    Nose:
A very spicy and astringent start. The whole mouth contracts slightly. Herb garden, mealy apple. Tart wood notes.

    Finish:
Medium length, espresso and baked cocoa. A slightly furry feeling remains in the mouth.

    86/100

    Conclusion:
Seems a bit out of round overall due to the comparatively strong barrel influence. Too strong wood notes for me

  5. Lorion scored this whisky 74 points Connoisseur

The whisky certainly has something to offer. But he's too harsh for me. 74 points.
    • Nose
"Dried apricots. Physalis. Passion fruit. Raw oak, prominent and dry. Very spicy and also a bit pungent.

Water: Slightly milder. That feels good."
    • Taste
"Tart, heavy and woody. This is not for the light-hearted. Some honey. Old apples. A noticeable bitterness in the aftertaste.

Water: The whisky bites a little less. But the oak is still clearly in the foreground."
    • Finish
Medium to long. Warm and some metal stays in the mouth.

  6. Baanaanaabob scored this whisky 91 points Connoisseur

orange, barley sugars, candied fruits, pineapple, herbs, cloves, lemon drops, tobacco, hay, cookie dough, honey, nice fruitiness and intensity, very good
