Whisky Reviews for Caledonian 1965 HH

2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 89.40 points

  1. Foamy scored this whisky 90 points Member Senior

Smells like glue, paint. Very volatile almost like ether.
It’s a creamy vanilla bomb. A bit dry and woody but very pleasant.
The longer it gets air the more the fruits open up.
Not too much of a finish.
I don’t like too much young grain whisky’s as they have a very industrial smell and taste for me. But pretty much all the old grains I tasted are just exceptionally good.

  2. Willie JJ scored this whisky 91 points Expert Senior

This is a fantastic old grain. Really top notch.
    • Nose
A mighty, sweet lovely old toffeed grain
    • Taste
Heaps of caster sugar and vanilla
    • Finish
Incredibly long with relentless sizzling sugar
