    • Nose
      Blind Sample:

      Colour:
      Again ... bright, shiny gold

      Nose:
The smell seems to me to be something youthful. Rust dust, cold steel. Then comes a beer-like note. Reminds me brutally of corona with a lime in the top of his neck inside. Dry wood. In addition fresh, green apple and Ahoi shower with artificial raspberry taste. In the background fresh grass, also honey and vanilla.
    • Taste
Soft, sweet start. Correct sugary. But then subtly ginger. Very fresh. Apple Cider Vinegar. Bitter nut flavors. Then the honey comes back. Some peach and some citrus notes. Immature gooseberries. The second sip, more malt and pepper. When it comes to flavor, the Ahoibrause tends towards Waldmeister.
    • Finish
Medium. First sweet, then neat bitterness. When that gives way, the honey comes back. Strangely, it ends up with raisins and chocolate.

    N-
Initial red wine with compote of berries, quite puffy and grapey.
Pleasant buttery cream crackers come through gradually, follow by wood
shaving with whiff of toffee. Roasted coffee bean. Refine soft aromas
    and complex.

P- Creamy texture which is quite rare from Tomintoul, damp wood, red wine soaked red dates, prunes and deep sour plum.

F- Medium, warming, intermediate strength with honey. Layer of spices in the middle, chocolate and juicy fruits.

Phew, no, had to grin internally when I imagine my tasting friend, who already hates wine finishes, would still try this one with age, concentrates a lot of what makes the finish problematic and just much too young material (and bad barrels) .
    • Nose
Very tart, young nose, copper pennies, tart berries, something dusty, young malt, cheap red wine, artificial red apple, green too and lime from a tequila shot, later also grasses, a little pink grapefruit
    • Taste
At first it reminds me of supermarket calvados, a lot of red apple, but also with the cheap aftertaste, vinegar, then young raspberries, currants, copper, blossom honey, pink grapefruit, a little malt, the grasses much later
    • Finish
Then the very young max. 15 € Calvados, green apple more, metal, lime, short to medium length, grasses

Nose: overall a sweet body with vanilla. The port cask gives an extra sweetness to it in the form of strawberry cream candies. Also some light caramel and milk chocolate notes. This together with a bit of a grainy / barley / malty notes.Taste: soft, creamy and honey sweet. More strawberries and a bit malty than in the nose. In the end some white pepper is lingering about. The malt notes seem to evolve a bit in slightly toasted bread?Finish: medium long, sweet with some drying wood notes.overall: The port casks does his thing well, giving it an extra dimension to the whisky

The port does not intrude, which is good, but the whisky is so easy an okayer standard.
    • Nose
malty notes, slightly alcoholic, a subtle sweetness from the port, sweet and quite simple.
    • Taste
Gummibärchensüße combined with some malt and relatively many bitter aromas.
    • Finish
Rather tart, bitter almond, a luscious sweetness in the background.
