    Pure Spring Whisky
Our good friend Tom from Hoogstraten has just released a new bottle on the market in his so-called Sticky Label series, the Vintage War Series. But... of this release we only know that it is a single malt from the Speyside, but the distillery is not mentioned. I'm curious.
Very aromatic nose on all kinds of white fruit with a nice spiciness. Think apples, quince, gooseberries and unripe pineapple sprinkled with white pepper and coriander seeds. Spring in your glass.
On the palate it is particularly powerful and it is again a whole panoply of white (orchard) fruit with a soft waxiness in the bargain. Reminds me a bit of Linkwood and Dailuaine in that respect, but I have no certainty about this. What I do have certainty about is that it is quite tasty.
The finish is surprisingly long and spicy with another drop of honey poured over the white fruit. Only downside: on the deathbed it is a bit perfume-y and bitter.
On this sun-drenched October afternoon it looks like it's back in May. This is a pure spring whisky.
