    Enthusiasm 4/5 Whisky n ° 1307
    • Nose
Very generous in aromas for this title in alcohol. Herbs. Ah! it calms down, actually.
    • Taste
Extremely fine, very delicate attack. Balanced, soft, not dominated by wood. White flesh fruits.
    • Finish
      Pretty cool. Some fruit.

  2. Calmar scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

A rather interesting specimen, the main player here is taste, aroma and finish at best, picked up, the taste is very juicy, dense, with a rather complex composition and a rich palette of derivatives.
    • Nose
      Restrained, dry, first nose - light beer; dry boards, wood dust, grain, light tar notes, vanilla, salty lard, mineral tones - chalk, plaster;
    • Taste
Dense, rich, sweet-woody, oak, creamy-caramel sweetness, astringency of the bark, a little black pepper, grain, floral-herbal notes, monpansier candies, candied citrus fruits, weak industrial and mineral shades.
    • Finish
Spicy, warming, light floral-herbal notes, grain, oak, grapefruit peel, vanilla.

Inchgower 35 yo 1975/2011 (41.9%, The Whisky Fair, bourbon hogshead, 224 bottles)
Colour: gold. Nose: it does have some kind of meatiness at very first
sniffs, but after that it’s almost a bed of roses (virtually). Beautiful
notes of passion fruits and mangos, seaweed, paraffin (good paraffin,
not excessive paraffin), bracken, fresh walnuts and linseed oil. A
perfect nose this time. Mouth: perfect, between tropical fruits and
fresh herbs. Oranges, salted liquorice, lemongrass, oysters and lime
juice. Just excellently pure and fresh, that is to say the exact
opposite of the 1980. Finish: not very long but clean and, again, very
fresh. Orange juice and fresh mint, with just touches of beer and again a
salty tang in the aftertaste. Comments: a beauty – and the clear winner
today. And it goes down a treat! SGP:641 - 90 points.

A fresh and lively Inchgower. Good cask selection!
    • Nose
Lots of fruity sweetness of pineapple, banana and pear. Also mango and passion fruit. Some flowery notes. Very mellow.
    • Taste
Very sweet again. Quite waxy and creamy. More vanilla and honey now. Custard powder and cake mix. Toasted oak. Also orange marmelade. Later on some grassy notes.
    • Finish
Long. A llittle pepper. Bitterness developing into a salty finish. Liquoirice as well.

  8. magic_slim scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

Nothing special but still a very good whisky.
    • Nose
Mellow and aromatic with aromas of hay and a summer meadow. In addition there are notes of ripe pears, vanilla and green tea.
    • Taste
Smoooth and a little dryer than expected but still pleasant. Notes of vanilla, green tea, a little malt and white pepper. Clean but rather unimpressive.
    • Finish
      Medium long.
