Whisky Reviews for Glen Elgin 1985 WF

1 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 85.13 points

  1. magic_slim scored this whisky 68 points Connoisseur

Drowned in oak. Should better be avoided.
    • Nose
Mellow with caramel, cake and decent oaky notes. Slightly fruity (pears) and malty as well. Pleasant but weak smell.
    • Taste
Smooth but unbalanced with the oak becoming totally dominant. A dry, slightly astringent and bitter oakyness. For a moment a little fruityness comes up but the overall mouthfeel is unpleasant.
    • Finish
      Long and oaky.
