Unspectacular and expressionless. Only the nose leaves a good impression ... Easy drinking at the lowest level.
    • Nose
Cereal red and yellow fruits dominate the first impression. Green apple and intense vanilla follow, peach and apricot show up, the nose is fruity and malty. The alcohol is harmoniously integrated and the vineyard peach becomes more and more intense and dominant. Milk Chocolate melts creamy with the partly lush fruit note.
    • Taste
Relatively thin and monotonous, the first sip runs through the mouth. Wood tones and hints of fruit, light sweetness is created while malt and cereals distribute powerfully in the palate. Slightly tart nut and wood aroma develops.
    • Finish
The reverberation begins unspectacularly and subtly harsh. Dark fruit and wood flavors let the aftertaste appear powerful for a brief moment, then only slightly dry and dry wood tones follow. However, these sound relatively quick and let this whiskey forget quickly.

Summer grain, salty sea breeze, light honey, light vanilla
    • Taste
      83 83
Vanilla notes are much stronger now, sweet but diluted honey, crushed grain
    • Finish
      83 83
Short, sweet, lightly salted bread crumbs

Blended scotch (about 50% grain and 50% malt spirits according to CB) with rather pleasant nose, at the beginning quite spirituous but getting better after a while. The taste is flat, with some spices and oakiness. The finish is short and noticeably bitter so I didn't like it. The price is too high in my opinion since one can buy a single malt for the same money. Or Chivas Regal 12, which is cheaper but way more interesting.
    • Nose
Fresh, green apple, citrus, a bit of vanilla, light floral and honey notes
    • Taste
Peppery, nutmeg, vanilla, oaky notes, some nuts, lemon zest
    • Finish
      Short, dry, quite bitter

A great blend and really good value. I would love to try this at 46% or more. It is a really good whisky to start the evening on, as an aperitif or palate warmer before a tasting session. A really good "go to dram" and I always have a bottle in my cabinet.
    • Nose
Fantastic nose, so inviting; You can smell the fresh oak and a nice level of sweetness, coming from vanilla, cream, melon. slight nuttiness, light toffee or maybe fudge,
    • Taste
Creamy vanilla ice cream, toffee, fudge, its a sweetshop but the level is not too much and is tamed by the fresh oak.

A drop of water opens up more cereal notes and calms the sweetness more, but it can't take much water.
    • Finish
A short to medium finish, the sweetness disappears and leaves a lovely flavour from the oak.

  7. Kumachan scored this whisky 85 points Expert Junior

A sweet and greedy we chiné Compound box Compound, Gourmandise, while finesse a great success. Must him thunder a subjective note, it would be a 85
    • Nose
Lemon yellow color, white wine. Lemes thick, regular with large drops. The drop on the palm. White fruit, soft harlequin, Ikea modeling dough and barley. The nose is very sweet and floral, hawthorn and honey of white flowers. I let it rest for a while as oxygen does its wonderful job of oxidizing. It is resumed on sandstone almost calcareous, small rise of white and yellow fruits, on sent the peach and the cooked pear. Back to the balloon dough, then the lemon that animates the back of the nose.
    • Taste
The palate is tender, ample and very oily, on a beautiful white heather honey, tenderly vanilla and buttered, coconut and cherry blossom all the mid-palate take. Pear, marzipan and pecan nut, as well as balloon dough and Harlequin, are used in the finish.
    • Finish
the final EST is supple corn plant, without being long, to She manages to walk us in a garden of white flower in the middle of the RUCHERS. The empty glass. Lemon and honey, wood chips burning, prunes tart.

  8. ColdAesthetics scored this whisky 79 points Connoisseur

Very, very lame blend, does not suit me at all and does not meet my Compass Box claims.
    • Nose
Also very restrained, vanilla, quite sweet, green apple, light honey, hay, cereals and sweet-and-paste cereals
    • Taste
Sweet, almost like corn, edible paper, sweet grain, moist hay, cotton candy, later touch green apple with peel
    • Finish
Short, some citrus now, otherwise the sticky sweetness, green apple with peel

So for 40 € you can not go wrong. You get what you expect and maybe a little more. Sure, that's not really ultra-complex but great, and very changeable. An ideal summer whiskey.
    • Nose
Slight alcohol smell, something tingling in the nose. There are also strong associations with vanilla, cereals and some oak. Quite easily I also hear something apple and a honey sweetness.
    • Taste
Sweetness and cereals. A little vanilla and the sweetness becomes a wonderfully gentle honey aroma. Add some lemon and a little bit of oak. Good interaction between the fruit in the form of lemon and the honey sweetness in connection with the grain.
    • Finish
Short to medium. The sweetness gives way to a dryness and the lemon dominates. Also, the vanilla comes back a little stronger.
