    White wine - straw yellow
Oh, there is a tingling sensation here. Full steam ahead: salt and black pepper in combination with sweet peat, coal and notes from a beach campfire. Sweet honey, vanilla, apple, lime and lemon, as well as soft aromas of avocados and soaked cardboard.
Soft, waxy, creamy, spicy and spicy! At the same time fruity and loaded with tons of salt, pepper, chili, peat, red pepper, honey, vanilla, apple, lime, cardboard, coal and wood.
Very long and getting drier. Wood, dry ash, peat, soft paper (napkins), suede but still sweet-peaty-fruity underlaid.

A single cask whisky with a lot of bite and a great finish. Powerful and absolutely recommendable for Peatheads. However, not very complex due to the young age. Slightly less sharp and more depth and the 90 point mark would have fallen loose.
    • Nose
Strong, greasy smoke and ash, very spicy and subliminal almonds. The beautiful, Kilchoman-typical freshness that always reminds me a little of wet hay.
    • Taste
Very strong onset of a young whisky: spicy, slightly spicy and smoky. Nice barley taste. Alcohol is already surprisingly well integrated for the young age. The spicy peat smoke will gently pick up a sweet note over time.
    • Finish
Very long. In the mouth and palate remains a velvety, pleasant ham smoke and sweet ash taste. Even after more than 10 minutes, the taste is still there.

This now 4.5 years old Kilchoman shows quite well the development of still very young distillates. Recognizable more peat smoke, still incredibly powerful and difficult to tame. It will be interesting to see what comes out of such a Kilchoman at 7 or 8 years old.
    • Nose
A good pinch of oleo-liquid adhesive penetrates the nasal leaflets. Pretty flowery floral with hints of fragrant flavors. This compared with younger Kilchoman single cask feces a trace phenoliger. Overall dry and slightly sweet.
    • Taste
On the palate, it can be seen even more clearly that this four-and-a-half-year-old Kilchoman holds as much smoke as no distillery bottling I know before. Unverduennt the alcohol is too praesent, ie slightly pungent. Here the still very childish age can not be denied. With a few splashes of water, mild-sweet aromas are added, but overall the overall picture is not significantly changed.
    • Finish
Powerful and with good length, but also undecided and piercing. Only a little bit sewered with some water.
