  1. Dre73 scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

Good whisky, more powerful than the other 'cattles' like Speyside and Lowlands. Sweet and fruity, just a pleasant experience.
    • Nose
      85 85
Fresh, sweet, candy-like, lychee, pear. Pretty modest, no alcohol noticeable.
    • Taste
      85 85
Quite some power now, fruity and sweet, orange now. Some sweet pear again, a little bitter touch.
    • Finish
      84 84
Still some power, sweet and fruity with a clear bitter touch now. Medium long finish. Orange as well.

  3. St. Pauli scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

A breakfast malt. It's rather yound and coming out of a bourbon cask, it's quite cereal-driven, with some influences of honey, cocunut, cookies, and white/yellow fruit.
Enjoyable, a good price/quality ratio but nothing spectacular.
    • Nose
      84 84
A typical ex-bourbon cask nose. Oatmeal cereal, honey, orange blossom, coconut, butter-based cookies, cream, pineapple cubes.
    • Taste
      83 83
Quite assertive (a bit hot), rather fruity (white grape, melon) and flowery (orange blossom essence). The malty side is still there, less on honey but increasingly on breakfast cereal. It gets a bit tannic towards the end, on ginger and grape pip. Better with water, it's rounder ("tamed").
    • Finish
      83 83
Lingering on oatmeal cereal, white grape, melon, cocunut shavings and ginger.

    Official tasting notes:
Nose: Banana chips, toffee, butter biscuit. Taste: honey, caramelised chestnuts, banana bread. "addictive"

    Nose:
vanilla, milk chocolate. Kiwi, peach, light cereal notes. Blossom honey, spring meadow.
    Some orange zest.

    Mouth:
A rather sour start with some ginger. Vanilla, honey, a hint of clove. peach, pear. Fine, subtle oak.

    Finish:
Medium length, peach and kiwi, light gooseberry notes. Spicy finish.

    87/100

    Conclusion:
A beautiful whisky, nice interplay of sour, fruity and subtly spicy notes.
