    Yes, I'm in heaven

I would do it again ...

it was tasting a BBT (Before Breakfast Tasting)
    • Nose
      caramelized sugar, delicate alcohol note

dried old dust between dry wooden floorboards

Someone had a few dark raisins on it

dark sherry is dried in the glass

      you open the window

warm summer wind blows over the herb garden

      it should rain soon

then you will get the old Oloroso from the closet and dream of old times ....
    • Taste
      soft on your lips

      sweet on your tongue

in your throat a smoky explosion of pepper and spice

Walnut shells stick to your palate

remind you of sweetness and spice

      and oranges

      You feel kissed
    • Finish
      long and pleasant

beautiful interplay of notes in the finish

Walnut shell, orange, herbs, caramelized sugar, barrel seasoning and baked apple juice

  2. LordBellamy scored this whisky 90 points Expert Senior

N: typical Laddie, light fruit, orange, salt, slightly dry Oloroso, leather, wax, coconut cream, milk chocolate G: soft, fruit salad with nuts, malty F: medium, fruit salad, walnuts again, some oak at the back with honey comes sweet honey, but becomes flat Dream fabric, older Laddies could be so awesome! 90 points

Actually very interesting as I have rarely tasted such a combination - flabbergasting!
    • Nose
      91 91
Fresh green fruits, star fruit, leafy notes, different kinds of honey, fruit cake, jam, toffee, crystallized pears - very good!
    • Taste
      92 92
Little punchy, oily, fruity, good sweetness, pears belle Helene, that is with chocolate and cream, spices, pepper - great!
    • Finish
      92 92
      Long, warm, more punchy, fruity

  4. Master Quill scored this whisky 88 points Expert Senior

I tasted it together with the similar looking Moon import bottling @43% and found the reduced one to be better (90 points), more happening in the aroma department...

  5. holborndrinker did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

I believe that this is a limited edition of 1200 bottles, bottled in 1981.
