This developed badly in the bottle for me and the palate became unbearably perfumey after a while (few years...). So I need to lower the score, as the palate is in the low 60s, point wise now (2015)...
quite strong [beige-red]. Interesting melange of malt & sherry. Canned strawberries & mangos +, couverture chocolate +/o, gum boots (rubber, but the sweet, somewhat pleasant sort) o, vanilla o, fermented fruits o, hemp ropes o/-. (86)
Later: more warm malt +, than sherry now o, fruit drops instead of canned fruit +/o, honey o, wax (vanilla scented candles) o/-, lemon -,
Water: more artifially sweet now, malt feels colder (faint chlorine notes -), way less sherry & fruit, sheep wool fat? o/-,
malt sweetness although a touch perfume-y with a touch of sour. Flour-y/meal-y, red-wine, chocolate, a bit of smoke (85)
W Water: No dryness, very easy to drink now but still more colourful than many others, also occasional cardboard-y notes (84)
more very broad, thick & round malt plus syrupy sherry notes drying out some more, swaying between sweet malt and dry sherry notes. Getting dry & tongue prickly at the end after the malt disappears. Interesting & a shame that the smoke does not come back here ... (84)
W Water: Dryness is nearly gone, much more towards malt with good sherry note, slightly more artificial sweet, but more mellow / balanced / a lot less edgy than before, but also less exciting in a way. (87)
