  1. MaroFF scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

This whisky has something about it that makes you want to take another sip despite the tartness, acidity and peppery spices. A lot of red fruit, with the dominance of cherries and currants. There is also a sweetness that quickly turns into notes of chocolate. It is worth a try.

wine barrel influence noticeable; fruity-sweet; ripe apples; oranges; spice notes; I also like the vanilla crescents mentioned; subtle butter biscuits; delicate notes of wood

palate flattering and oily; Sweet; vinous aromas; thank you fruits; Orange; Spices; this is increasingly joined by a tingling, peppery spiciness; Oak; slightly astringent
    • Finish
      86 86
slightly dry; vinous; tart-fruity-sweet; Spices; wood seasoning

What a hammer whisky! So far, the first Blair Athol from the red wine cask was clearly in the lead, but this Linkwood is again a shovel on top.
I leave the correct tasting notes to the professionals.

If you don't grab a bottle here, you're missing out!
