  1. Totoro scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

Nice and clean-mineral-maritime half board in the ideal drinking strength, it doesn't get much better at the age of 16, you can't complain.
    • Nose
White gummy bears, sea breeze, beach sand, herbal honey and heather. Smoke here hardly noticeable. It's only when it sits for a while that you realize what a wonderful bourbon cask it was: creamy, sweet, super-round.
    • Taste
Sour-sweet start, strong spice from the middle, and towards the end surprisingly fruity for an HP - peach and lychee, maybe?
    • Finish
Fine, well-balanced oak spice, plus the above-mentioned fruits plus grapefruit. Keeps the balance between tart/sour and fruity/sweet. Slightly ashy, only minimally smoky here.

  3. Dottore scored this whisky 89 points Expert Senior

Meets my taste preferences of unpeated whiskys exactly: lovely floral, slightly grassy with a wonderful portion of tropical fruits, almost Irish hints. In addition, the typical HP heather. Value for money for me an absolute cracker!

Great combination of mineral notes (moist stone, limestone, clinker) and fruit.
At the beginning more green apple, lychee and gooseberry, it develops with standing time and a few drops of water in the direction of tropical fruits with mango and passion fruit.
White gummy bears. Subtle herbal scents in the background

In the mouth, the herbs come more to the fore.
Nice fruit here too, a mix of local and tropical fruits. However, a floral herbaceousness (heather/heather) is omnipresent.
    Lies nicely in the mouth

Medium length, fruity-floral with oak accents.

In the nose really great for my taste, in the mouth the floral is a bit too concise for me. Fans of the distillery style will certainly appreciate the whisky much more
