Exciting dram, which only shows its somewhat older age on the palate with its pleasant spiciness and dryness, because it is wonderfully sweet and fruity on the nose. The very slight hints of sulfur make it complex.
    • Nose
A fine touch of sulfur at the beginning. Then very ripe fruit and lots of caramel, a bit of burnt pudding or creme brulee.
    • Taste
Sweet start, some raspberry, then dirty and dry at the end, fine oak bitterness, spicy.
    • Finish
      White pepper, rather dry.

Here I can only agree with Will_iam. A very strong note of caramel on the nose, the sherry is not too dominant, the alcohol is well integrated.
I think it's quite an acceptable bottling for its age, which for my taste could do with more notes typical of HP, such as heather, wax, honey, etc. However, 160 euros is already an announcement.

Very fruity on the nose. I notice a lot of caramel, which I like a lot.
    • Taste

Light sherry note, which determines the taste very pleasantly and discreetly. It is not dominant and harmonises great with the alcohol. The alcohol is elegantly reserved and very well integrated.
    • Finish
      87 87
I find the finish to be quickly fading, but this means that the 51.6% alcohol is pleasantly noticeable in the oral cavity. It feels warm and comfortable.
