I'm buyest for a good sherry bomb, but this had something that I've never tasted in whisky, hell even in my life, gamechanger for me.

  2. Artus scored this whisky 89 points Expert Senior

Very nice bottling that is not completely overloaded with sherry. Here I don't even find the 43% disturbing, the malt still seems powerful enough. But you should give the whisky time and let it breathe a little in the glass.

Slightly disappointing but not really bad, but it's not a real sherry board. I had expected more. On the other hand, it's not bad that it doesn't look so "overloaded". dilemma….

Not the typical dark sherry nose that I expected from the key data. Rather restrained and not intense. Wood, slightly fruity-sweet, some tobacco.
Raisins, orange zest with peach. More dried fruit with a hint of chocolate. Every now and then you think you can perceive slightly cooling menthol.

Peppery oak spice with lots of tobacco fills the mouth. But far from spicy. Seems dry and again only slightly fruity. Somehow fruit aromas don't find their way forward. On the other hand, roasted aromas, nuts and cocoa come through better.
    • Finish
      85 85
Medium-length finish, dry, wood, coffee, still light oak spice

  4. LeChiffre scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

Very drinkable and delicious sherry bottling.
A little more alcohol would be nice, but the price is a bit ambitious.
    • Nose
fruity-sweet; dark berry fruits; raisins; ripe oranges; some chocolate; Oak hardly perceptible
    • Taste
soft palate flattering start; sweet and fruity; raisins, oranges; chocolate
    • Finish
Sweet; dried fruits; beautiful fine, delicately tart oak spice lingers in the mouth
