Nothing smells or tastes like sherry here (and luckily).
This is a very simple, young but tasty Bunnahabhain Staoisha with a sweet bacon smoke.
The 57 percent are also super involved.

If I disregard all the marketing with the mysterious Islay distillery and the Quarter Sherry or Sherry Quarter Cask, then I can enjoy this whisky as an all-day dram with football in a relaxed manner and without much concentration.
But 65 euros are steep because it doesn't offer any complexity. Nevertheless a very pleasant drinking whisky.

How I like the flavors and aromas of Port Askaig !!!
Great SM with lots of citrus fruits, peat and soft chocolate sweetness with milk fudge .... And the toffee is so nice on the palate !!!
The bottle has already been ordered !!!

Odour: oily, dense, sweetish nose, biscuit, vanillin, woody smoke, malty beer note, present, according to sharp alcohol, greasy with aeration ...

Taste: sweetish undertone, tingling and yet well integrated alcohol, youthful, liquorice, ginger spiciness, present smoke, very spicy wood in the medium. Reverberation with a good portion of baking aroma ...

Colour: straw tone, medium water edge clear

Conclusion: Should be a Bunna that came into the bottle quite young - and for that and for what's on offer the price is clearly too sporty ...

Thank god i realized before buying that this is NOT a sherry quartercask maturation, it's a quarter sherry cask maturation, meaning 1/4 of the casks were sherry. So just be aware of that when you buy it, the name can be a little misleading.
