  1. pioneersipper scored this whisky 94 points Newbie

Extra citrusy, very light smokey, sweet, and salty on the palate with great vanilla character. Better than some of the great bourbon cask drams. Very long-lasting finish as it has a high abv. 94~95 whisky.

  2. DannyDram scored this whisky 91 points Connoisseur

Smoke, citrusy, hazelnut, roasted orange peel, fruity, oak spice, pepper, ginger, malt, green apples. Good acceleration, strong body, harmonious, good intensity. Tasted again several weeks later and the Longrow has increased greatly in harmony, intensity and depth, from 89P to 91P

Citrus, vanilla, honey, peach, marzipan, pineapple, pepper, bit of leather, not bad at all

not so much sherry influence, but definitely getting better as longer it is open. big improvement on the taste and finish! takes a good amount of water, for me best around 48%

reminds me more and more of the 1994 refill bourbon actually, nice

The sherry influence is only obvious with the leathery notes, else I would have guessed a Bourbon or oak cask - quite drinkable - really not bad

Citric, white wine, white grapes, minerals, stones, toffee, marzipan, dough, hints of smoke, vanilla, yellow fruits, peach, apple, whiffs of leather - pretty good
    • Taste

Punchy, oily, creamy, vanilla, spices, honey, good sweetness, citrusy, lemony, lemon peel, yellow fruits, pineapple, little leathery, some vinous notes
    • Finish
      88 88
Long, warm, very citric, spices, pepper, some ginger, oak wood
