This whisky is "limited" to 2900 bottles :D
It's funny how grotesque the word "limited" has become.

I've had enough glenallachie to imagine what it's like. Billy Walker doing is magic with poor casks is still poor whisky. Overpriced as hell as well!

wonder how many bottles does that degenerate rating this 100 and calling it macallan owns

  6. Segens scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

Very very good Glenallachie - very complex as it changes from sour to sweet to leather dry to gummybears - very weird indeed but definitely not too weird - happy that I was able to try it

YoquieroWhisky has 4 bottles, none of them open, and rated 91, without any tasting notes. Sure.

  8. Petitcham scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

The overly thick woods hidden in the taste of The taste of sour fruit, the spicy hint coming from behind, and the low price-to-performance.

    for all german members:

Marco Bonn from brings it to the point:

I know that this is not the place for discussions, sorry for that. But like some german retailers (e.g. Limited Whisky, Whiskyraritäten Andermann) do add hundreds of percents on the initial price extra, this is a shame. Don't call yourselfs whisky retailers anymore please but money makers and arbitrage traders.

Never shop at them and it will regulate itself in the future.

And to all of you (german) flippers: better watch out for the tax office and tax investigators. With buying your cheaper bottlings to get your adress from a private person, you will not get away in long terms. And I am happy with that :)

Sampled as part of The Good Spirits Company's 11th birthday tasting.

It's really nice, except for the drying finish. But I wouldn't pay more than about £130 for the bottle.

Old-fashioned sherry up front indeed, but that impression doesn't last long. Blackcurrants, a bit of mint, cinnamon, cleaning fluid, lots of toffee.
    • Taste
      89 89
An initial explosion of concentrated flavour, very fruity and nutty but lacking the complexity of the nose.
    • Finish
      86 86
Quite drying here, raw coffee and exotic sweets (halwa).

We had one bottle in the shop and sold it at the normal retail price to the first client what want to open it, means to distroy the seal. It is realy going crazy that a 16 years old even not single cask is already going prices from 1000 euro and more. Even the real retail price was not cheap, 260 euro. Whiskyworld is going mad. Our client let us taste and it is a real nice dram, but not worth 260 euro and sure not 1000 euro :(

    Beautifully balanced sherry whisky.
Bought 1 bottle and opened it at the normal price and certainly don't regret it....

I'll bet my entire whisky stash that the ppl who rate this 92+ and try to sell it have never tried this whisky... sad
