    Notes from a 2nd bottle.
This is a little better than the last time I tried it, it is not too weak this time but a score of 85 points is still about right.
Lots of cereal and barley notes in this one.

  3. hs305 scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

[March, 2014]  I had this dram during a "Lowlands" rarities tasting at Bonn.

    In
my old rating system (ten scales that translate into WB points: 50
    - 66 - 75 - 80 - 82,5 - 85 - 87,5 - 90 - 92,5 - 95) I scored it 82,5.
My notes state a light profile on citrus and honey aromas.  Both the body and finish are a litlle flat (maybe due to the low abv).

  5. lincolnimp scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

I like the Inverleven profile but at 40% this is too weak for me.
    • Nose
Expressive with notes of coffee, butter, honey, a little chocolate and whiffs of cigar smoke.
    • Taste
A little thin with some sugary coffee sweetness, honey and biscuit.

There is a little lemon and caramel mixed with hints of orange.
    • Finish
      Medium length getting sweeter.

  6. ColdAesthetics scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

Very nice Inverleven, nice blend of spice, bourbon and light sherry in the taste
    • Nose
Honey, licorice, light sherry, grassy, citrus in between
    • Taste
Lemon, oak, heather, white pepper, liquorice again, toffee, almond marzipan
    • Finish
Citrus, lemongrass, orange peel, dry, medium long

  9. Erik Elixir scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

    Blind tasting.
    • Nose
Citrus - lemon, some smoke and ashes. Candle wax, fruity, vanilla, pastry, butter, meaty - gravy and pepper.
    • Taste
Peper, mint, spices, some smoke and pastry. Cactus, almond paste and marzipan.
    • Finish
Fruity, spices - white pepper, gooseberries, herbs and vanilla.

  10. KayMeertens scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

86/87. As Martin already mentioned, if you can find this one at its original price it's a very recommended purchase.
    • Nose
Pretty oily with a clear bourbon influence. Apple, vanilla, marzipan, straw, peach and in the long run some caramel. A little touch of Badedas shower gel.
    • Taste
Surprisingly full-bodied for its low ABV. Butterscotch, straw, vanilla, apple and pepper. More creamy than the nose, less fruity. Very nice texture.
    • Finish
Almond, butterscotch and apple. A bourbon-like mintiness in the end.
