I really like this! Can take water, but does not really need it.
    • Nose
The nose is alive and kicking and very aromatic on pears, oranges and banana. Vanilla and a touch of oak. Quite floral too. Some dried grass, maybe even some hay, and a nice bouquet of spring flowers. Wet pine cone. Even patato skins. Now, that does not sound very nice, but in this case, it is! Water makes little difference. This is a very enticing nose.
    • Taste
It dances on the palate, very spicy. Think pepper, ginger and woodspice. Apple cider, pear drops, citrus peel. Roasted and sugared nuts. A bit of salty liquorice. Midpalate it becomes a bit drying. Adding water makes it sweeter and softer.
    • Finish
On the long and warm finish, I get oak and liquorice.

  5. Igor scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

It is not easy to pick up any distinctive scent at first. A complicated task for sure, - so scarcely discernible and mute aroma it has. But the time does its part all right here. Only give it ten minutes.
    • Nose
Faint industrial sweetness (oxidizing), polish?, Madeira wine, fruit salad, almonds, crackers, barn, dry hay, wood shavings.
    • Taste
Nuts (peanut, almond), winy, mead, iron?, sulphur, beeswax, spent fireworks, crystallized quince.
    • Finish
Hot, wave-like, profound. Orange, lemon, mixed peel, zest, vinegar, coriander, nutmeg?, cloves, ginger, cinnamon, ground pepper.
