Nice fresh peat. Fruits. It warms up on malt. On the palate, the honey / spice duo evokes a Speysider but the peat turns it into a trio that does not deceive, we are on Islay. Very easy to drink for a 46%. Too much ? Sweetness and ashes complement each other harmoniously in the finale.

    Enthusiasm 4/5

    The seaside at Islay !.
    • Nose
Above all, ashen and slightly grassy peat, also fresh fruit (apples) and citrus notes of citrus juice. Quite simple but clean, not aggressive and odorous.
    • Taste
Attack strong enough on the ashy smoke scented coastal resinous and slightly aniseed herbs, juice of lemony green apples with elegance. Some notes more "soft" (sweet coffee, caramel) arise nicely on the end. Young but well done.
    • Finish
Long enough on cigarette ashes and lemon sea water.

    Bottler`s Notes :

    Colour : Pale gold.
Nose : Oily, briny, dry with burnt ember tones.
Palate : Slight medical notes, sweet flavours and dry smoke.
Conclusion : A young treat for Islay fans.

    Simple, clean & satisfying
    • Nose

    • Taste
more peat, clean & to the point, plus quite a bit of malt sweetness
    • Finish
fades out gently with yet again peat & malt sweetness.
