Potentially a really pleasant whisky, the alcohol overpowers it - struggling to taste anything.
    • Nose
      83 83
I get some sweet sherry notes on the nose, soft stoned fruits, the alcohol is quite well behaved.
    • Taste
      84 84
At first there are some delicate notes of honeyed fruit, but then the alcohol comes in and overpowers everything - my tongue has gone numb.
    • Finish
      82 82
Not sure how long the finish is - my tongue has gone numb.

    • Nose
This nose reveals a waxy texture, on plantain banana, honey. Then I find toasted cereals, caramelized and even a little further, fresh orange.
    • Taste
To honor its batch mates, this whisky has this pleasant characteristic, which is a very well integrated alcohol. It's a little more powerful than the previous ones, but it's very acceptable. The oloroso will let through chocolate flavors, but also candied fruits, figs, oranges here rather candied indeed. Overall we still have wax, powerful honey, plantain, but the fusion of the two genres is almost perfect. It's hard to tell where one begins and the other ends.
    • Finish
The finish is much drier, but still very waxy, it covers the whole mouth. Small more vegetal touches, a little wood, spices, bordering on raw pepper. Before a rounder return, on the empyreumatic characteristics of sherry.

Nose: cocoa dusted almonds, stewed prunes and dried figs
    Palate: dark chocolate orange,
Finish: orange lindor and mulled spices
