Well drinkable whisky; however, a few % more alcohol would be good (nose, taste and finish were immediately much more intense after we pimped the surf with some Bowmore Cask Strength - logically old version).
maritime, honey sweetness,
Hints of smoke, citrus
(maybe I'm wrong, but there was also a hint of marzipan)
initially watery (clear, low alcohol strength; I’m more for cask strength and therefore a bit “fussy”)
slightly peppery/ginger, spicy
short to medium
the pepperiness lingers a bit, as does the cold campfire smoke
