Whisky Reviews for BenRiach 1982 GM

- Starts ok on the nose but goes downhill from there.
- Not very good. I feared this would be weak at only 40% vol and evaporation from the bottle, but the ABV does not seem to be the problem. Pretty disappointing.
Apricots, vanilla, varnish. Has a slight perfumy character to it.
Despite being only 40% and a my miniature having lost quite some angel's share, this has some serious bite to it. Not a big mouthfeel but a sharp attack. It's fruity, but candy-like (winegums).
Pretty long, but rather woody and very sharp/burning. Rather unpleasant.
- Nothing special going on here. This can be a good refreshing summer drink, light and perfumed. Nose is ok, but the palate doesn't develop the desirable CC series complexity. Still can be found for a great price, but i would suggest getting a different bottling instead of this one if you are looking to spend some money on a Benriach from G&M.
