Pure exotic fruit-bomb, very oily & thick on palate. For me the best Feis Ile 2022 bottling by far (excepted the Bowmore 25yo probably, that I haven’t tested yet).
We could buy it before FI starts, and opened a bottle on first day for the whole week : all members of our group did think the same, whatever the day :)

Try it in the Connoisseur's Platinum Tasting as part of the Feis Ile 2022. Don't go under in the lineup with the 25yo Single Cask, the 30yo, the 40yo and the No Corners 32! Outstanding nose, best Feis bottling 2022 for me!

One of the better Feis bottlings from 2022. very soft, lovely, creamy, alcohol is well integrated, surprisingly little smoke. Grassy, somewhat fruity. Apricot. Shortbread. Vanilla pudding. Convinces in any case, even if he is a somewhat untypical Bowmore.

Unlike apparently many others, this bottling did not really appeal to me. Maybe 'nice'. I thought it was a flat smear of flavors and fragrances that made it characterless. I couldn't find anything interesting in it and the typical Bowmore profile was missing. In a line=up with single casks, this one would be completely out of the question. This Féis edition was bought blind by almost everyone and in my opinion it had to be approved afterwards.

The first is sweet yellow fruit, honey, and some peat. The flavors of the two are well integrated, and the overall smell is more restrained. The sweet fruit after the cup wakes up, the honey flavor is very prominent.
    • Taste
      87 87
The entrance is slightly sweet, first fruit, nectar, and then salty, with a strong smoke, like a piece of smoked bacon. Some spices, dry wood, some peat, a touch of iodine, and a little bitterness at the end, like the bitterness of herbs. The texture of the entrance is not bad, the wine is full-bodied, the oily feeling is weak, and the alcohol stimulation is moderately strong.

      87 87
The end rhyme is long-lasting, first is smoky, salty, and slowly comes out with a little spice, the peat taste is weak, and some fruity sweetness, mango, and smoky taste lasts for a long time.

I had to check 3 times if I accidentally got the wrong bottle. Bowmore? I would never guess that in blind tasting.
    HammerHead describes it very aptly.

After the 3rd sip we get much closer to a Bowmore, perhaps comparable to the standard Bowmore18.

Very fruity and sweet on the nose with all kinds of tropical and exotic fruits. Also floral with hints of sweet nectar and some salty sea breeze. Some good casks ere used for this. The notes of smoke come only second to that and mainly shine through in taste and finish, which shift more towards a fresher style of peat and charcoal smokiness. The finish isn't quite able to keep up with the rest of the experience, but this is a perfectly fine dram.
