Took a punt on it as no brainer for the price (£49.50 ). It will be a while before I get to open it due to backlog. Looks tasty but there is something little I noticed already:
Website says "these unique Single Cask bottlings are exceptionally dark in colour and rich in flavour, owing to their Sherry cask heritage".
Really sorry Douglas Laing but that juice looks "dark" only when you close your eyes; web pic seems overly tempered with to make it look darker than it really is. No biggy, doesn't bother me as if I want something "dark" I drink Edradour. If it was finished in sherry must have been for 6 mts or so in a 3rd or 4th refill barrel in my opinion.
On a more positive note - Well done Douglas Laing for bottling Speyburn. Sláinte all.
