Subtle, oak, white chocolate, citrus, tobacco, spicy, thick, oily, keeps me coming back for more…

For the first time, I drink whisky in barrels after Tokaj, which is not only drinkable, but also very interesting. She would fit the flight very close to Victoriana. Very nice interesting smokestack, with a very strong sulfur character, citrus and herbal character

N: Oh, that's interesting! Thick frosting sweetness, great peat nose with salt and the typical Bunna spice, thyme, rosemary, sweet light grapes, menthol, lemon ice cream, everything very round, balanced and harmonious G: dreamlike combination of peat and sweetness, Bunna peat character, woody notes , at the same time oily and velvety F: very long, balanced between peat and sweetness, dry at the end with oak and a little salt - with water: even rounder, the lemon comes through more intensively - conclusion: really successful, with some somewhat strange moments (thyme and rosemary !), but that makes it even more interesting. But 200 GBP for a 17yo is pretty steep in the end.

Gorgeous, evocative nose, where the soft and gentle, nutty peat so characteristic of Bunnahabhain’s Moine spirit is complemented by the fresh and sweet Tokaji cask finish, bringing pear drops, icing sugar and citrus fruits (lime as much as lemon) into the mix. It evolves and matures beautifully in the glass, with a drop of water releasing even more intensity without fundamentally changing the profile. I could nose this all night! Spicy and smoky on the palate, but again the sweetness and fruity notes from the cask bring added depth and complexity. A fresh, herby note then appears and leads to a long, lingering and smoky finish. Excellent dram that, whilst not cheap, fully justifies its inclusion in the Feis lineup. Definitely one to try if you like a sweet/peat combo.
