The Linkwood shimmers very bright from the glass and looks almost like a white wine. The nose is courted with strong flavors. There are dark fruits that are hard to classify (it does not have to be), vanilla and the wood of the barrel are noticeable. But there are also shares of grass, honey and corn. The taste is full and strong. A lot of vanilla is there, even a slightly leathery overtone. Wood is also involved. It turns on a slightly dry mouthfeel. Departure is long, warming, pleasant.
A great whisky. A strange combination: strong and yet mild. Reminiscent of a bourbon.
