Smell: The front part is more grainy, caramel popcorn, bitter oak aroma, complex sweetness, and some waxy texture like glue in the background, which reminds me of Cantonese-style stewed pork with star anise and peppercorns.

Drink: The taste is flat, relatively refreshing, but not very thin. The taste buds are always entangled by the rich woody notes. With some tannins, there is a warm numbness between the teeth and cheeks. The ending rhyme has a cool olive and dark color. The hint of berries.

Feeling: MG 46 is the product of the 46th blending of this wine. In addition to being matured in traditional bourbon barrels, French oak slats are also put into the barrels, which accelerates the ripening method. A high degree of control is required for the maturation time and blending ratio of the wine body. 46 is undoubtedly a memorable number. It is impeccable for the overall richness and balance. It is a very good work.

    • Nose
Glue, vanilla and cigar smoke. Typical bourbon stop. Not no less
    • Taste
Vanilla high 3. Then a lot of oak bitterness. More complex than a Jackie, that's it
    • Finish
Surprisingly long and tasty tasty! Not bad for a Bourbon. Nice finish

the sweetness is not overwhelming. there is typically vanilla but also some honey, some fruits, some apples, that sweetness was really quite complex. the oak influence is really nice as well. with some spices, even a bit salty (?). really nice dram which has to be retasted as soon as possible!

Was pretty curious about the comparison to the standard Red Wax. Your nose will blow over. So a bourbon should smell like me. Caramel and vanilla. Barrel available but not as heavy as most Bourbons. Mild sweet and harmonious. Taste: initially typical bourbon with sweet oak. Warm, strong and spicy, yet well balanced. The finish is long and pleasantly sweet. Very light oaks and bitter notes come through. Summary: Much better than the Red Wax and one of the better Bourbons I've drunk so far. For a price between € 40 - € 60, - absolutely top and recommended.

more than three times the price of the regular maker’s mark red wax here in my country, yet i don’t see what’s special about it. sweet, floral, well balanced and approachable for everyday drinking, but aside from the packaging there’s nothing about it that warrants the price, so i’d stick to the cheaper version instead.

    • Nose
Sweet vanilla without being cloying. Oaky
    • Taste
More oak complexity and pepper compared to the normal. Nice one.
    • Finish
Medium long. Balanced oaky pepper, with some vanilla
