A malty, slightly artificial sweetness comes straight to the nose. Always swinging back and forth between honey-sweet and bubblegum-sweet. In addition, fruity, overripe bananas, pears and pineapples come into their own.
With a little good will you can still find coconut.
Vanilla and some caramel are also very present. Some sour bread dough and fresh hay emerge from the background. With more time in the glass, all this is beautifully accompanied by wood aromas and some refreshing mint. Great round nose. Exactly my thing.
On the palate, this malt is even more versatile. The fruit notes of pears, banana and pineapple are complemented by more exotic fruits. Peaches, apricots and mangoes are included. Wonderfully fruity-sweet. Even the artificial sweetness that was there in the nose from time to time is gone here. Vanilla sugar and honey provide a great sweet component. Generally more of a soft and gentle malt. Subtly peppery, some oak spice. Great contrast to the fruity-sweet side. In addition, very slightly chocolatey with a little milk coffee. In the background again malty, floral, some chamomile tea provides a herbal moment.
Medium length finish, rose water, lightly perfumed, honey, vanilla, mint, still slightly spicy, fruity notes slowly fading,
