Tried at a charity tasting - a decent dram that deserves to be used to toast Ukrainian success - not flipped, which in this case is profiteering at other's misfortune.
    • Nose
Brine, seaside trips as a child going to the beach.
    • Taste
A pleasant dram, the seaside subsides slightly with a flinty minerality coming through.
    • Finish
      Medium, some spice.

After all, people just can’t resist to flip their bottles for some quick bucks don’t they. Now we even have a shop link for it.

Next time, charity bottles like this should all be placed straight on auction just like the 21. That way at least all the money could be donated for good.

10 yellow-blue really sticks to something, and development, the further the better!
The guys from Springbang said that they did this release with all their heart, and it is!

This is a great gesture by the distillery with profits going to Ukraine, but anyone making a profit off the back of this gesture is beyond contempt. Blood money.....

Ask yourself: is this a standard 10 year old Springbank bottled at 46.0% with a different label for a good cause?

Would there be any value in a standard 10 year old springbank with a different label, is the world gone mad where the color of the inkt is dictating the value of a bottle?

It might be that we are wrong about the fact that this is a standard springbank 10. But we feel it is not the place to try and sell your bottle. If it happens anyway, Whiskybase will transfer the Whiskybase fee to the same good cause as Springbank did. We find it only fair that the seller will do the same.

Nose: The nose offers up plenty of oak, exotic spices, guava, heather honey and soft smoke.

Palate: A full, sweet, creamy palate with hints of smoke, marzipan and cigar boxes.

Finish: A smoky finish, trailing off on sweet cider and toasty barley.
