    Close to perfection.
Saying is that there is no bad -72 Caperdonich. Amen to that. This is a-mazing.
    • Nose
      91 91
Buttery, early gray tea bag with raspberry and other fruits, strawberry jam, herbal notes also.
    • Taste
      96 96
so smooth in the mouth, violet is overpowering - very rare to find these levels of violet! LOVE IT.
    • Finish
      96 96
vanilla, violet and caramel. true candy stuff! amazing.

    Fruity sherry very nice

  3. dram-drinker scored this whisky 92 points Photo Moderator

Fruity and quite some complexity but not a typical fruit bomb like other Caper 72 - more serious and mature - very good
    • Nose
      92 92
Intense, cooked fruits, apricot, oranges, jam, spices, little cloves and cinnamon, plums, figs, hints of nuts, whiffs of acacia honey and sherry wood - very good
    • Taste
      92 92
Punchy, oily, creamy, little liquorice, subtle sweetness, cooked and dried fruits, more plums and figs, little nutty, spicy, hints of tobacco, more of oak wood - still good
    • Finish
      91 91
Long, warm, more spicy, more woody

Another magnificent Caperdonich. Almost no more surprises. Beautiful balance, huge fruit.
    • Nose
As always with this vintage fruit salad. Very exotic.
Passion, mango, pineapple, guava. Apricot, quince.
      Wax, camphor and fresh mint.
Liquorice stick. Almond milk and milk chocolate.
    • Taste
On the palate the fruit dominates once more. A real explosion.
Pineapple, mango, plum, peach. Green apple.
We also have white pepper, vanilla, milk chocolate.
      Very light tobacco.
    • Finish
Finale shower on the sweet side of exotic fruits.
      Liquorice, elderflower, strawberry, coconut.

The winner of an already ingenious tasting evening, both Caperdonich and the Octave series are underestimated for me again and again, here both show their full power!
    • Nose
Full broadside of beautiful Caperdonich force, apple rings, mango, pure fruit salad everywhere and all this also glazed with brown sugar, pear drops, apricot jellies, full of beautiful honey that goes deep into the nose, caramel, light leather, honeydew melon, some cappuccino behind it
    • Taste
Also pure fruit salad, here I could just copy everything from the nose, extremely strong, here is still cherry, blueberry jam, the honey is also very nice, malt is added, rather light than dark, mango, rosemary, thyme, again and again If one thinks he lets come after a strong tip from another side, has everything, fruit, malt, sweetness, acidity, banana jellies, marzipan
    • Finish
Drying, marzipan, honey, beautiful malt, apple peel, cherry with core, mango, rosemary, heather herbs, oregano, long to very long

Birthday tasting 2015 with Aby and JJ.
    • Nose
Chocolate, carton, tobacco and paprika. Fruity, spices - cinnamon and cardemon, leather, some paint, citrus, fudge and cappuccino.
    • Taste
Espresso, pastry, honey, gooseberries and dates. Almond paste, syrup and fruity.
    • Finish
      Dates, honey and woody.

Just a touch more fruity than the other one. Simply fantastic Caper.
    Thanks, Teun!
    • Nose
The nose is no less succulent that the previous one. Very smooth on all
kinds of fruit (mango and oranges mostly) with a similar edge. No broth, this
time, but something that reminds me of tomato soup. I know this sounds a bit
queer and makes it sound less fruity than it really is.
    • Taste
It is less oily than its predecessor, but no less expressive. Sweeter.
Very fruity animal. Jam of mango. Spicy: ginger, nutmeg and a pinch of chili
      pepper. Great!
    • Finish
On the long, sweet finish I get even more spices and a touch of oak.
