Absolute dream substance, there is not much more to say, is one of the types that taste exactly like what one simply imagines "perfect, old, polished whisky" finds. No surprises, but they don't really want that here either.
    • Nose
Incredibly beautiful, pure Garden of Eden, various types of honey, dried fruit, macadamia and pecan nuts, like eternally stored, perfect cognac, marzipan, candied ginger, sultanas, grapes, honeydew melon, sweet grass, apple and pear
    • Taste
Grapes, honeydew melon and pear, pure enjoyment, oily and full, blossom honey, candied ginger, camphor, Demerara sugar, sultanas, marzipan, cinnamon, hint of lemongrass, later more tropical with some kiwi and star fruit, pecan nuts, so silky and yet so aromatic, almost already difficult to describe, Orangeat
    • Finish
Pecans, Candied Ginger, Camphor, Honey, Pear, Long, Pistachio

  2. Cheesehut-Fellows scored this whisky 91 points Expert Senior

Impeccably balanced old whisky on plum, berries, Sherry, dusty shelves, mango, almonds,... little ooomph lacking, otherwise high class old malt.

This is really old school whisky - not extreme in anyway but very well balanced and therefore easy drinkable and much enjoyable. Great!
    • Nose
Cooked fruits, oranges, apricots, jam, old books, hints of acacia honey
    • Taste
Very, very oily, creamy, mellow, liquorice, fruity, jam, cooked fruit compote, good sweetness, little spocies, touch of oak wood
    • Finish
      Medium long, warm

Great old style sherry, cooked fruits, but phenolic, bit of obe, very refined, finish a bit on the drying side, very good
