    Good Lochside a little green.
    • Nose
      89 89
Nose that starts on freshly varnished wood.
Then we go on to pineapple, peach, apple, pear, lime, melon.
White pepper, light meringue. Young plants.
      Slight astringency.
    • Taste
      88 88
In the mouth, we start with pepper.
It's quite woody, green, astringent. Without being eliminatory.
The fruit is a little behind. Lime, unripe pineapple, rhubarb.
We also have a little redcurrant.
Always this light meringue, and this white pepper.
      A touch of rosemary.
    • Finish
      87 87
Quite dry and astringent finish on pineapple, wood, vanilla.

Honey varnish herbs, not really my style

The first few sips are the bests, that moment the fruit is doing all of the work. Afterwards they get tamed down by leather and slight bitter spices. But the nose keeps its true form which is very very enjoyable.

    88 overall
Edit: I mostly keep the whisky about 6-8 seconds in the mouth which and by doing this I found out the leather en spices become bigger on this. If I only keep the whisky for 4 seconds in the mouth, it stays more fruity overall in the taste and the finish...
    • Nose
That typical '81 fruitiness which I would subscribe as sweet strawberry ganache with some light citrus influences with a mineral touch to it. Leathery which gets bigger after a few sips. Still good balance. 90

      Typical soft, elegant nose.
    • Taste
Initial taste: Instant sweet, sweet strawberry ganache with much leather (still balanced). Very light spicy.

Secondary: some bitter notes after a few seconds with woodspices. (90 initiel, 88 secondary)
    • Finish
Very leathery, sweet, semi dry, spicy.

After a few sips the sweetness is as good as gone and the leather, drying slight bitter spiciness plays the game. (89 initial) 87 secondary
