Heaven in the mouth, a feast in the senses. In just one word, I can sum up this little sip of Glen Grant.
Maybe a bit too much bitterness for me, but it is so integrated into the whole that it does not bother you that much, but it is certainly noticeable.
    Alcohol very well hidden.
    • Nose
      89 89
clear, aromatic, sweet, fruity, honeydew melon, ripe peach, milk chocolate, coconut shavings, pine needles, juicy grass in the meadow
    • Taste
      88 88
sweet, very fruity, cherry, a little honey, sultana raisins, candied orange peel, then it turns into a delicate bitterness with a hint of lemon and dark chocolate
    • Finish
      87 87
long, sweet with beer aftertaste, gently scratching the esophagus, the end is a donut with rose jam, which quickly passes, and in its place is again honey bitterness with bitter chocolate

Leather old chesterfield, elegant, fruity, complex

Great long aged dram. Develops in nose and taste from hearty to fruity to herbaceous notes.
    • Nose
Pho Bo (Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup). Bit dirty but cool. shortbread ripe pineapple. Leather.
    • Taste
Oily and with a lot of power on the tongue. Herbal and grassy. Ricola. cloves.
    • Finish
      Extremely long and aromatic.

Recent Glen Grants aren’t the most sexy of malts, and this one isn’t rather cheap… So a good buy recommendation?
This is certainly a nice one but not spectacular. Very lovely nose and taste with typical fruitiness, grassiness and freshness… the finish does unfortunately not live up to that level… a bit too short and peppery/spicy to let other flavours shine…
