Overall, the alcohol is still well integrated and in the mouth it actually has nice, young lochside notes, the nose is just very deterrent, but I think some people were too impressed by the nose here.
    • Nose
Has something of mezcal, agave, some vanilla and white wine spritzer, some paint remover, but everything is very discreet behind a curtain, he is like a ghost, tick gooseberry, otherwise real like (very rounded and filtered) New Make
    • Taste
Tangy pear, some cucumber water, lime zest, melon, young, unripe pineapple, tropical honey, macadamia nuts, ginger, white tea, white wine spritzer, light malt, eucalyptus and dill, agave
    • Finish
White grapefruit, lime zest, white tea, eucalyptus, now a bit burning, ginger, medium to long, warming

This is for sure not worth 91 point, but it is better than I thought it would be.

Sagara-kun is right in his review that the initial smell is not that good. Given his note, I left it in the glass for about 30 minutes, which definitely gives an improvement. It opens up, and gives me in the end some pleasant fruit flavors. Reminds me somewhat of Glentauchers of which I recently tasted quite some expressions.
    • Taste
      84 84
Full body and slightly oily. Earthy notes. Up come spicy and herbal notes which reminds me somewhat of a GM Blair Athol.
    • Finish
      83 83
Medium in length. Not the "best finish ever". Somewhat stinging in the end.

A really poor Lochside, with a rather repulsive nose.

The nose is quite ugly, it stings.
The alcohol is clearly poorly integrated, and we smell the solvent above all.

Through it, we still find a little fresh mint, Listerine, pepper, dry herbs, cloves ... and that's it.
Finally we may be closer to toothpaste.
    • Taste
      82 82
In the mouth it is a little rounder.
Licorice, lemon, grapefruit, pepper, juniper berry, cloves.
      Smoke.
    • Finish
      81 81
Final on smoke, oily peat, lemon, spices, wood.
      Lightweight soap.
