Zero sulfur, Zero Chinese herbal medicine. This 8yo stuff got a complex nosing. The palate is a little bit simple but very delicious. I will bet it is a 18-21yo single cask Glendronach in blind tasting
Wow! Is it really Taiwan Whisky? Extremely Clean sherry note is rising in the glass. It presented itself with rich raisin, very sweet! Oh, orange jam is covered by the raisin too. After 5mins, it became alike port wine! It smells like the Graham 20yo tawny port. Raspberries and Black currants are on top of the cake here. Brown sugar syrup is poured on the cake! It is an oily one and surprised me with a gentle alcohol note in such high strength. After 20mins, vanilla ice cream and toffee is here too! My brother told me that he smells the sweetness of Chinese Ophiopogonis Radix! Really?
The alcohol is gentle in nose but strong in mouth. It has a full body. It is sweet and sour, like drinking red fruit syrup. A hint of spice is presenting in the glass. Let the malt stay in your mouth, you will taste more black tea and dark chocolate too!
Long. The tobacco is quite obvious in the finish. A touch of grape peel slipped away while we were enjoying the roasted dark coffee here.
