Not a hugely complex whisky, as this is thoroughly entry-level. The nose is quite heady for a 40% ABV malt and certainly the best part of it. The slightly bitter finish could have needed some form of counterpoint IMHO.
    • Nose
Pungently fruity and sweet. Vanilla custard, rhubarb compote, and candle wax.
    • Taste
On the sweeter side. Cotton candy and mildly honeyed resinous wood, with under tones of menthol and herbal tea.
    • Finish
Medium. Faint caramel and tannins, turning slightly bitter.

Great price - performance ratio. A malt that really surprised me from this category. Oak is there and in the nose for once a caramel bomb. In order for the flavors to come into their own, the 43% are a great plus. A great beginner, however, and that must be mentioned, not a typical Speysider.

N- Breakfast dram, compote of pancake, orange and raisin. Some chewy leather, fresh cut lawn.

P- Citrus oriented, sweet, cherry and peppery.

F- Medium, nutmeg, grand marnier, syrupy and whiff of coffee. I am quite convince this is make for breakfast

Eye: Light fino. Wobbly legs. Nose: Soft but full. Buttery. Licorice sweets and some woolliness (almost smoke). Lukewarm porridge/oatmeal with a pinch of powder sugar. Vanilla. Sherry. Chlorine. Mouth: Fresh with a tender alcoholic tinkle. Sweet honey/glucose. Distant oak. Dried peach, soft apple. Oily. Minty. Hazelnut milky chocolate. A drop of asparagus water. Residue: Clean bathroom. Note: Not bad for a bottle open long. The pleasant butteriness was surprising.

I can imagine that some of you are clearly too bitter, but actually everything is very pleasantly interwoven and nothing bothers here great. An uncomplicated Schlabberwhisky that does not overwhelm anyone. Not too young, on the contrary, thanks to the pronounced oak.
    • Nose
The initial nose is a bit sprittig, but it dissipates very quickly. After that comes an uncomplicated, slightly buttery Sherrynase to the fore. Ripe yellow fruits, some sweat, raisins in butter, a hint of alcohol, but not disturbing. Then warms much stronger, yet not unpleasantly alcoholic, but now peppermint tea and some overripe notes, with some malt.
    • Taste
Alcoholic mild, but with a good handful of pepper. In addition, fruit-like sweetness with a very clear oak. Consistency rather thin, but not watery.
    • Finish
In the finish, a good dose of menthol joins the wall unit, remains medium in length and leaves a sweet memory on the tongue, a bit bready.

He can not deny his Speyside origin and is a successful whisky in which the flavors harmonize very well with each other. A very nice single malt whisky for the price.
    • Nose
Raspberry, prunes, lemon, vanilla and some oak
    • Taste
First sweet and malty, followed by tangerines and vanilla, then light oak
    • Finish
Long, dry and the oak gets a little bit stronger
