Little bit reluctant on the nose, probably because the bottled was just opened, but anyhow, it opens very well on the palate, very fruity, very good mouthfeel, very drinkable and enjoyable, for sure in my target profile - very good!
    • Nose
      90 90
Citrusy, orange peel, vanilla, honeydew, dry hay, lemony, marzipan, icing sugar, almonds, yellow fruits, peach, banana, pineapple, whiffs of tobacco, cookie dough - pretty good
    • Taste
      92 92
Oily, creamy, honey, vanilla, good sweetness, citrus fruits, some tropical fruits, mango, passion fruit, pineapple, banana, orange peel, hints of grapefruit, hay, spices, pepper, ginger, marzipan, little herbs, oak wood - very good!
    • Finish
      91 91
Medium long, warm, fruity, little grapefruity, zesty, spicy, peppery, herbs, some oak wood

Still very good, but it lost a bit of its initial fruitiness.

Those late 1980s and early 1990s über-fruity Irish single malts may have spoiled me.
    • Nose
It’s a bit dense at first, with even some hints of burlap and sandalwood, but there’s clearly some fruity DNA in there, which reveals itself even more with a little patience. Vanilla custard, ripe bananas, grape must and stewed apples.
    • Taste
Creamy mouthfeel. Slightly peppery and maybe even chalky, but again, the fruits are here. I’ve immediately added some water after the first sip, but I’m not sure that was the best idea. Fruits still, yes. Some lemon pith, peaches, lime and icing too. But it also enhances notes of ginger, oak and soft herbal touches.
    • Finish
Gentle yellow fruits, oak and custard. Medium in length.

    Nose:
vanilla, custard, velvety, sweet candied fruit, banana, a toasted return of warm brioche, intense vanilla with a little wood, well-scented almond shell, not bitter
    Stuffy:
it heats up, the sweetness leaves; fruits on very sweet Mirabelle plums, mixed, undifferentiated tropical fruits; the shell exudes bitterness, peppery spices also come out suddenly
the custard comes back with cereal yes, wood chips, a little sawdust
    Final:
slight bitterness with dry oak, the one you can smell in a carpentry, in a cooperage near the heater, a little glue and this cream!

Too bad because the basket of ripe fruit behind the hot alcohol looked delicious.
    • Nose
Pleasant and intense nose on a mixture of very ripe tropical fruits. Brioche with caramel and cookies.
    • Taste
Very intense and aromatic mouth with as many yellow fruits as tropical fruits, very greedy. A nice black pepper finish. Too much alcohol.
    • Finish
Warm, milky finish with wood that pushes tropical fruits to the fore.

My sample had too much alcohol to be considered drinkable. With a little water it also loses the last remnant of aromas. Too bad.

Quite simple, with an alcohol well integrated. Directly a punch of a kind of rot and mold, then a sort of vanilla cream with some fruits behind.
    • Taste
      84 84
Hard, alcohol badly integrated and lack complexity and interest
    • Finish
      85 85
Nothing special, just the rest of the alcohol, spicy and some light fruits and the vanilla

Vanilla, marzipan, peach, banana, pineapple, mango, cookie dough, white pepper, honey, uber fruity, excellent

A very recently bottled whiskey, you may have to wait a bit.
    • Nose
Banana not ripe enough, cooked apple, it's round. The alcohol is quite present.
    • Taste
Immediately intense, it revolves around yellow fruits but it's quite hazy. The profile reminds me of the Glenmorangie Astar.
With a little water the wood stands out even more.
    • Finish
      Milky with lots of wood
