A solid and simple whiskey; I wouldn't pay the 100 euros for this under any circumstances.
No grain for the Blenders glass - way too alcoholic and spicy. Much better in Glencairn. Like a simple summer whiskey with honey, light fruits and fudge. Everything in a good balance and clean.
The palate is still quite fresh with 54.1% and has a bit too much sharpness. Behind then a nice sweetness with light wood. Hardly any complexity and even water doesn't make it rounder.
The mouthfeel is a bit too sharp when pure, but almost medium long. Nevertheless, the spiciness of the alcohol burns too much even when diluted.
