A little closed at first, then, broad nose of aged oranges, ripe peaches, honey sweetness, a light wood note in the background, fresh notes of salty, maritime lemon spray from the sea. Over time, these maritime notes come to the fore.
Maybe I'm too weak, for me the whisky tolerates water, so the olfactory notes come out even better. -
There's quite a bit going on in the mouth, pushes powerfully, dry wood, seaweed, salt, subtle smoky ash note, hint of lemon. A spice. If you let air in your mouth you can feel the smokiness.
Even better here for me with water. -
This is where age comes into play. Not particularly complex and varied. Wood, ash, smoke and a pleasant dryness. The flow of saliva is stimulated. Great.
Overall, there is nothing inharmonious for me. Everything fits, no missing notes recognizable.
Here, too, I find that water makes him calmer.
