It has that modern, candy-esque sherry influence that's not entirely to my liking.
    • Nose
Nutmeg with touches of barley husks, hemp rope and sultanas, as well as some Sauternes and cherry-flavoured candy canes. A bit closed but water might help. Indeed, it brings out notes of dried red fruits as well as some honey.
    • Taste
There's gingerbread, Maraschino cherries and burnt toast, as well as white pepper and fennel. Whiffs of vanilla too. Not the most complex.
    • Finish
Lingering spices and soft herbal notes combined with caramel-glazed apples. Medium in length.

    Notes from we WIN website

    My own notes below.

I am amazed that such a young whisky has such a full and pronounced taste.
This must have been a really good barrel. In tastings this holds up for me compared to bottles that are much older (20+ years).
I like it so much that I later bought another bottle. So for now I'm done :)
    • Nose
Nose: polished copper in the sun, cherry jelly with freshly ground nutmeg and dark vanilla with (later) an abundance of (over) ripe dark red fruit. A pinch of sea salt with a slight medicinal undertone follows.

Brown burnt sugar, dark red cherries. Vanilla and honey. Sweet.
    • Taste
Taste: spicy gingerbread with more cherries and fresh apple, transition into white herbs, after which pepper does not let go of the tongue.

Amarene, white pepper. spiciness. A full taste.
    • Finish
Finish: the back of the tongue is lastingly warmed by spicy influences. That mixed with the thick red fruit ensures that the enjoyment lasts for a long time.

A long finish. Wood, a slight bitterness. Herbs and red fruit with cherries as sweet cherries. Also some herbs. Copper, very long and tasty. WIN's flavor notes here are quite similar to mine.
