For me more of a typical winter malt. Actually quite tasty, but somehow I like Elsburn Sherry Malts better.

Aromatic start, dark, intense, fruity and creamy on the nose. The high alcohol content stings a little. It also has a slightly cooling effect, almost like menthol. Very fruity-sweet mixture, everything almost syrupy. Plum must, dates. Raisins pickled in rum. Wood notes are also noticeable. Some dark chocolate and coffee emerge.
Water brings out some tobacco but also suppresses other previously more intense flavors.

Extremely powerful malt. Proper oak spice and a high degree of alcoholic sharpness burn in the mouth. Water is absolutely necessary for me, whereby the second sip is a bit more tolerable, although there is still a peppery spiciness. With water but then much softer, smoother and creamier. Here, too, dark fruits and sweetness dominate. As a contrast, the spicy oak notes and spices of cinnamon and coriander are a nice change. Roasted almonds and freshly roasted coffee beans come through in the background before becoming slightly dry and more chocolaty towards the finish.
    • Finish

Medium-length finish, fruity, sweet, chocolate, coffee, slightly bitter and dry.

    • Nose
Strong, grain, dark chocolate, hints of coffee, spices, slightly tart.
    • Taste
Strong, a hint of nuts, sweet, vanilla with malt, dark fruits again and again
    • Finish
Spices stay behind for a long time. Has something of carnation and is drier over time.

Fruity and sweet, it tolerates a few drops of water very well. Extremely delicious for 7 years

At first, it is very closed, there is alcoholism, it is very difficult to disassemble the components. After standing in a glass, it begins to change for the better, aromas one after another reluctantly seep out. The taste and finish are powerful, caustic, but no frills due to the degree.
From the derivatives, we managed to make out sweet dessert tones - fudge, burnt caramel, dry biscuits, prunes, cherries, maple syrup, nuts; there are also industrial shades - rubber band, varnish-paint.
In general, the whisky is good, but it requires prolonged aeration, otherwise drinking it is not comfortable.
