First association right after pouring: A Laphroaig 10CS in old and venerable.
Really delicious stuff that Dino had bottled here. I like the mouthfeel even better than the nose. Overall evaluation approx. 90 to 91 points. (89 / 90-91 / 91)
Maritime nose, fresh and slightly salty, very subtle smoke that has clearly broken down in the barrel over the years. Fruits in the form of citrus, orange, after a while they become sweeter and a little more tropical: tangerine, apricot, papaya, also a little vanilla emerges. And again and again the light smoke aromas, combined with pleasant oak flavor.
In the mouth it is surprisingly sweet and fruity, and pleasingly powerful. Alcohol and tannins slowly occupy the tongue, tropical fruit, vanilla, oak, the smoke is again very reserved.
Comparatively long and intense finish, without anything new, but also without bitterness. Very nice.
