- Great as the smoke and the barrel formed a damn smooth unity!

- smells smoky and fruity; taste like smoky meat; a small taste of rubber
- You can really smell the sweetness from the marsala cask. Especially if you let it sit in the glass for half an hour or so. Farm, cow stable, strong peat. Oranges.
Sweet peaty taste. Honey, nutty. Oily mouthfeel.
Short to medium finish. Smooth, sweet and a bit drying. Ashes.
The nose is by far the most interesting due to the sweet Marsala casks
Nutty, buttery, lemons, smoky peat
Peat, nutty, oranges, herbs
Medium long, herbs, bitter
Unlike other Ballets, Batch 5 is a bit less peat, or that peat is overwhelmed with acidity and citrus, which is not just a statement. Peat here, of course, is a straw, sweet peat, sprinkled with Sprite lemonade. (84 b)
The taste is first of all sweet, straw peat in the style of Caol Ily, but gradually the sweet impression disappears and passes into a dry finish with a distinct trail of burnt toasts and cloves. (84 b)
- Colour : Broken gold
Odor : Powerful and intense malty
Taste : Salty, delicate, peat, smoke
- Ooops, powerfull and absolute peaty in the nose. In the palate sweet and even peaty smoke, i don`t know wether this herb sweetness comes from the Marsala. This bottling is more sprity then the other batches, it`s not my favourite.
