  1. Eclectic Scotchist scored this whisky 83 points Expert Senior

Light to medium-bodied. A nice dram overall, but would probably have benefited much from a higher ABV.

Tasted blind as the 10th whisky in my 2016 whisky advent calendar.
    • Nose
Sweet and fresh hay, some lightly 'toffeed' passion fruit, some honey in the background, old wooden planks, strawberry sauce made from fresh strawberries, a mineral presence, a citrusy zestiness, dried sherry-like fruits, cream, some smoke, nuttiness, a really nice dynamic between marshmallows and sweet malt, "Speyside spices", a Campbeltown-resembling salty and oily undertone, some cherries, liquorice, some tobacco and sawdust.
    • Taste
Zesty, smoke, cream, old leather, traces of sherry, a bit salty and oily, some faint tropical notes, some chocolate with raspberries.
    • Finish
Rather long - vanilla, smoke, dried fruits, fresh peat from the ground, mellow and assertive oak at the same time.
