- Especially with some drops of water, this one is just great. It takes away most of the heat on the palate, and doesn't spoil the presence of the other senses.
A lovely nose with dark cherries, prunes, oranges, wood shavings, polished oak, vanilla, cinnamon, milk chocolate, hazelnut and pepper. There's a hint of dunnage warehouse too.
Full-bodied, rather hot, with pepper, ginger, wood, orange and cherries. Then, hazelnut and milk chocolate.
Long, medium spiced with pepper and cinnamon, again dark cherries, coffee, chocolate and dates.
- This was half a year after opening the bottle and I really am starting to like this more and more. The strong young sherrynote which I identify as rowan-dominance is a bit challenging to me, but this is passing it in taste and deepening also by the nose.
Really tight without water, though the same tones: a sweet young sherry with red berries like grapes, a hint of raspberry and a lot of rowan and rowan-wine. A touch of mocha and chocolade and a fine oaky toffee. Some off-notes of moldiness, wet earth and also nailpolish but nothing really disturbing. Really needs water, though with this high volumes that goes without saying...
Sweet and boozy at the beginning, then raisins, fresh, ripe and sweet red apple. A pleasant sweet fruitiness, cherries, raspberry and lingonberry jam. Evens out and gets better with enough time, though gets more bitterish after half an hour.
Sweet and round.
