In the nose a nice mixture of vanilla with ripe fruits and some spicy broth, gentle sweetness with Haribo confectionery and coconut aromas.
The alcohol is strong and the wood is noticeable - the whisky tends to be dry. Slightly tart chocolate with dry apple rings and pear wedges.
The aftertaste shows wood that has been used a little longer - but is still usable. That gives depth and complexity.
The whisky has something to offer for entry into the core range and is not one-dimensional or boring. The flavors aren't overly pronounced, but complex enough to be enjoyable. It could be a little less bitter - but is drinkable and ripe. A good whisky.
