I had it 3 times in the glass and I like it again and again.
Dark, strong peat smoke on the nose and on the palate, which is accompanied by a harmonious fruit sweetness due to the finish. A finish that fits and here shows the contrasts in an impressive way without appearing superimposed. On the one hand the really strong and earthy smoky note, on the other hand an almost sugar-like sweetness that alternates incessantly.
The fact that the keg was filled at this point was due to an accident, as it was a "leaking cask". I want to say that it was basically a good thing because the PX barrel worked more than enough and more would have been almost "too much".
Very nice drinking painting that just lacks a bit of complexity and maturity in the end to do better. But for 89.90 € the bottle is a no-brainer.

And again a fireworks display. Unmistakably Lagavulin, like a Distillers Edition with an extended barrel-strength finish.
Balance, complexity, filigree ... have many other drops, this one not here.
Here is South Islay with sugar. You have to like it. I like.

Those who expect the fine blade here should go further. Typical Islay peat smoke, dense and fat, with a distinct sweetness woven into it. There is not much to dismantle here, smoke, tar, ash, sweet, done. Too much of everything and still (or because of it) awesome. Alcohol involved damn well.

On the tongue surprisingly peaceful at first, it takes a while before Prockeln's 57.3% kicks in. Not as sweet as you have had to experience one or the other ADOS. The peat is ahead. South Islay with a sweet finish. Not sweet finish with [any distillate] ...
But here too: strong, classic, sweetness well integrated, alcohol too, but: little complexity

It gets a bit arbitrary here. After all, the ashes stay quite long. Islay doesn't need much more.

Nose: medium-strong, slightly tarry smoke, some iodine, light raisins, honeycomb, chicory coffee. The alcohol is well integrated. In terms of age, more like 8-9 years old.

Palate: honeycomb and honey spice very present; light raisins, medium-thick tarry smoke. Mild in the positive sense of the word. Spicy in moderation, slightly astringent.

Finish: honey, raisins, iodine, light smoke. Mild and pleasant. Medium to long.

Conclusion: well done, if a bit interchangeable.

Edit: You can tell the slightly older age on the palate.

It takes a few minutes and 3 drops of water for me to open properly, but then it is very pleasant on the nose. Nice sweetness of dark fruits and syrup paired with impressive smoke.

In the mouth, despite the almost 58%, it is not too aggressive, accompanied by alcohol, but sweet and then smoky. I really like the mix.

The finish is warming and slightly dry.

Conclusion: Highly recommended for the issue price despite the oversight (leaking cask).

Good, but somehow interchangeable. No own note that leads to a wow effect. Fire in the mouth.
